Key & Preliminary

These are the first 2 levels of the Cambridge Key English Test examinations and are set at the A2 and B1 levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for modern languages. They recognize the ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communication and with KEY being at a basic level.

A2 Key English Test  – A2 Key English Test for Schools

A2 KEY for Schools is an elementary level examination and recognizes the ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications at a basic level. The content and treatment of the topics in KET for Schools have been particularly targeted at the interests and experience of school students. It is set at Level A2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for modern languages.

B1 Preliminary English Test – B1 Preliminary English Test for Schools

B1 PET for Schools is a pre-intermediate level examination and recognizes the ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications. The content and treatment of the topics in B1 PET for Schools have been particularly targeted at the interests and experience of school students. It is set at Level B1 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for modern languages.
